About Keepers Cottage

Keepers Cottage is a lovingly restored traditional Yorkshire stone cottage, offering a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. Situated in a peacful rural setting , it provides an idylic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Its picturesque setting perfectly combines tranquility with convenience. Situated next to a gentle river backing onto a charming cricket ground the cottage offers a unique retreat amongst nature's beauty.

For sports enthusiasts, the proximity of the cricket ground offers a perfect opportunity to catch a thrilling match or enjoy the rythmic sounds of bat against ball on a sunny afternoon. Whether your a cricket fan or simply appreciate the atmosphere of outdoor sporting events, the cricket ground adds an extra dimension of charm to your countryside getaway.

Why not take a stroll through the nearby woodland and connect back with nature? if you are seeking a more adventurous hike the woodland trails goes directly to Norland and the Moors. Choose your adventure, one path leads to the charming village of Ripponden, where you can explore cozy cafes and traditional pubs perfect for a leisurely meal or a refreshing drink after your excusion. Alternatively follow the other trail to Sowerby Bridge a vibrant town brimming with restaurants, bars and cultural attractions.


Accommodation 

Stepping through the door you will enter a small porch handy for hanging coats and leaving muddy boots.  One well behaved dog allowed downstairs and not on the furniture please.


The Lounge - Unwind and relax in the inviting lounge area of Keepers Cottage, where warmth and comfort await you after a day exploring.  The lounge and kitchen are located on the ground floor.  This welcoming space invites you to kick back and relax and make yourself at home.

The focal point of the room is the large fireplace with a cozy wood burning stove ideal for those cold chilly evenings.  Gather around the hearth to share stories with family and friends.

For entertainment there is a flat screen TV offering a selection of channels for your enjoyment.  Whether you're in for a movie night or simply want to catch up on your favourite shows, the lounge provides the perfect setting for relaxation and entertainment.



Dining area - Tucked away in a corner is an extending table with seating for four guest, making it an ideal space from intimate dinners to festive celebrations. Whether you're enjoying a hearty breakfast to fuel your adventures or indulging in a leisurely dinner paired with fine wine, the dining area provides the perfect setting for shared moments and meaningful conversations.

 


The Kitchen - This well appointed kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a deightful cooking experience to cook up a culinary delight.  With a free standing cooker, (gas stove & electric oven), a separate microwave and modern appliances., the kitchen is stocked with essential cookware, utensils and tableware ensuring you have everything you need during your stay.  For your convenience there is also a Washer/Dryer.  The kitchen at Keepers Cottage is sure to inspire delicious meals and memorable moments during your stay.

Accommodation Upstairs

The master bedroom  - Is furnished with a luxurious King-size bed with soft neutral tones adorning the walls, creating a soothing backdrop that invites you to unwind and let go of the stresses of everyday life.   Traditional wooden furniture offers ample storage space in a small dressing area, allowing you to unpack and settle quickly. 

The focal point of the room is the sumptuous bed dressed in crisp white linen and plump pillows, flanking the bed are sleek bedside tables each adorning a contemporary touch lamp for your convenience, perfect for creating the ideal ambience for relaxation or bedtime reading.



The second bedroom the focal point of this room is the versatile sleeping arrangements, featuring twin single beds that can be swiftly joined together to form a super king size bed.  (Please ask when booking if you would prefer this option).  Dressed in high quality linen and soft fluffy throws promising a restful nights sleep after a day of exploration.  There is also a wardrobe and drawer space in this bedroom.



The Bathroom - This inviting space, designed for comfort and convenience, offers a santucary to unwind and pamper yourself after a busy day.  Soak in the jacuzzi bath or step into the spacious shower. For added convenience,  the bathroom features a modern vanity unit with ample storage to stow away your toiletries and essentials,  keeping the space uncluttered and organised.  Soft fluffy towels await you with a large bath sheet and hand towel for each guest, pamper yourself with the provided indulgent toiletries, leaving your skin feeling nourished and rejuvenated.

Outside seating area. - This tranquil outdoor area basks in the nature surrounding Keepers Cottage. This inviting,  sunny space offers the perfect place to unwind and soak up the sights and sounds of the countryside.  Sit with your morning coffee and feel the sun's warmth, or in the evening relax with a glass of wine and reconnect with nature and the sound of the flowing river.



Parking - There is plenty of secure parking adjacent to the cottage.
